NetVibes

Verification Policy

Details

This is Version 2.1 of our Verification Policy and was last updated on 18/06/2024.

When you see a verification checkmark next to a NetVibes account name, it means that NetVibes has authenticated documentation and has verified the account in question after a thorough review.

Applying for account verification:

You can submit a request for verification at any time by going to our Verification Application Form.

We will not verify accounts that attempt to impersonate another creator or brand. If we discover that a verified account has begun impersonating someone else, we will revoke verification and may take further action depending on the posted content.

If an account is verified, this means that it is in fact the official account of a creator, artist, company, or public figure. Verified accounts help differentiate official accounts from other accounts with similar names on NetVibes.

Verified accounts do not receive extra features on NetVibes. Verification does not serve as an award or endorsement from NetVibes.

If your account is verified, it will still be subject to our review process, and revocation may occur. (We’ll email you to explain why.) If you change your account name, the renamed account may lose verification, but you will be able to reapply. Changing your account’s username will not remove your verification badge.

NetVibes reserves the right to revoke verification or immediately suspend accounts that violate our Terms of Service.

After you apply, we’ll review your account. We verify accounts that:

  • Are authentic: Your account must represent the real creator, brand, entity or public figure that it claims to be, for example @Verified represents the NetVibes Verified Service.
  • The applicant account must be complete with a profile picture, a complete “About Me” under the profile’s About section, and at least three posts.

Currently only two types of verification statuses can be applied for, however we will add more in due course.

Government official verification status cannot be applied for.

Instead, we will self-verify if we are fully certain that the account is, in fact, an identifiable government account or belongs to an official of the government in the country, territory, or jurisdiction in which they are based.
